A large beauty from Space!
Micrometeorite [NMM 3655] is a jewel in any collection, its rarity only surpassed by its beauty. The large micrometeorite is a barred olivine type with characteristic stripy texture. It has an amazing aerodynamic droplet form, and in the front is a huge shiny nickel-iron bead surrounded by a sparkling sulfide rim. The sulfide is completely intact, so this rock is fresh from Space!
The stone was found August 22, 2022, at Skedsmo, Viken, Norway.
